The Modeler's Guide to the Tiger Tank

This is the most elaborate modeling guide Ampersand Publishing has ever attempted. The book covers both the Tiger I and Tiger II and is essentially two books in one. The first section contains intensive research information with hundreds of beautifully rendered original line drawings showcasing production details of the Tiger I & Tiger II. This includes a photo gallery primarily made up of wartime photos with an emphasis on the details modelers want to see. Contemporary, close-up museum photos are also included.

13 Individual Tiger tank models are covered: Tiger I, prototype; Tiger I, Leningrad: Tiger I, Tunisia; Tiger I, Kursk-SS; Tiger I, Kursk-Army; Tiger I Mid-Wittman; Tiger I, late; Tiger I, Mid-engine repair; Tiger II, prototype; Tiger II, early-Normandy; Tiger II, production-Ardennes and Tiger II, final Berlin. Each model is showcased with its own color spread, then followed by an extensive construction diary illustrating all the details added modifications made to the models. A large general detailing section follows with helpful tips on building your Tiger. A comprehensive kit, book and accessory list completes the package, with reviews, information on reference sources and more. There is way more material within this book than we can showcase on this page. Think Achtung Panzer meets MMiR and moves in with The Armor Modelers Guide to the Universe. This is a great buy for any serious Tiger I modeler!
