Dear Friends:

It has been a quite summer re new books and that is why we have not sent out any updates. But, not to worry, we have been busy preparing new books, and we will release news of them over the next few months. This week we have two pieces of information.

Unfortunately, due to the security situation regarding shipments (our container was subjected to a scan and close inspection, and as a result missed the scheduled ship), Posen ’45 has been delayed in reaching us. At this time we expect that it will be here in mid-September, and we will ship it out immediately. We are sorry for this delay but unfortunately this one is out of our control.

We are also announcing a new (revised) book from Waldemar Trojca’s publishing house. Originally published in 2009,  Japanese Hybrid Warships: Technical and Operational History has been updated and expanded by naval expert Hans Lengerer, the drawings and colour plates have been produced by Waldemar Trojca. The first edition of 250 pages has had added to it more photographs, colour drawings and line drawings.

This expanded edition is a large format, hard cover book with the following details:

352 pages, 76 pages of German/English text, 257 photographs (including 32 colour). 150 lined drawings, 209 colour profiles (2D and 3D), 8 maps.

We will receive only one shipment of the book and therefore need to gauge the number that we need to order. When you place your order we will note it, but you will not be charged for the book until it is sent out.. We expect to have the book at the end of November. As the exact price depends on the number of copies we order, at this time we can say that the final price will be approximately $95.00 – $105.00. However, for those of you that order by Sept 9 2018, we will guarantee the price at $90.00.

Well that will do for this week, more news soon. John and Sharron

Now for some housekeeping.

The book Himmler’s Favourite from Helion seems to have disappeared from radar. It had been listed as forthcoming, now is on the Publisher’s site as coming in January 2018 (but not yet published), but is not listed by the North American distributor – a mystery EH? So, for those of you that have ordered it, we will keep you on the list and will get back to you when it resurfaces.
